Novel writing is easy if you follow these few simple tips. I hear writers groan all the time about how difficult writing a novel is. I admit to being one of them until I figured out a couple of secrets. Just by changing a few of your writing habits, novel writing can change from difficult to easy.
1. Planning makes novel writing easy. The number one thing that you can do to make novel writing easy is to plan your novel before you start to write. Planning makes writing ten times easier.
Writing a novel isn’t easy when you’re stuck. Most writers find writing difficult because they write part of their book and then they don’t know what to write next. Making a plan helps you organize your story and helps you write faster. The faster you write, the easier it will feel.
2. Developing good writing skills makes novel writing easy. You’ve hear the saying, “Practice makes perfect”. I also believe that “Practice makes the job easy”. It doesn’t matter if you’re a plumber or a writer, the job will get easier each time you do it.
It’s so important to practice your writing every day. Try to improve each piece of writing by making each time you write, write better than the last time. Continue reading Novel Writing: Five Tips For Making it Easy

Residual earnings are what every creative writer sets out to achieve; passive income from traditionally published book sales, offline and online; royalties that increase year-on-year with multiple editions and reprints. Add to that PLR (public lending library rental fees) and your residuals burgeon with each new book you succeed in having published.
Do it once; repeat the formula, and you will profit forever after.
But there are other ways to galvanize your residuals…
- Book clubs
- Serialization rights
- Licensing rights
- Broadcasting rights
- Merchandising
- Contributing articles to magazines
- Speaking engagements Continue reading Why Residual Earnings Are What Every Creative Writer Aspires to..

Having your own book published, especially if you are a new author, is a tough situation. You need to be psychologically, emotionally and financially prepared for the consequences of this task. With the right know-how, you will be able to succeed in this goal.
Publishing is noted as “the process of production and dissemination of literature or information.” It is an activity that makes information available for public viewing.
There are authors who are already their own publishers. This means, they are already the developers and originators of the content which also provides media in order to display and deliver the content.
The term “publishing” also pertains to the distribution of printed work such as newspapers and books. With Digital information Systems and World Wide Web, the entire scope of publishing expanded. It now includes electronic resources such as electronic versions of periodicals and books along with blogs, websites and video games among others. What I’m about to share with you is a secret so juicy that most copywriters don’t dare let it out to the public because it could put them out of business. It took me about four years to refine this technique and now I’m ready to spill the beans to you.
This one hidden technique alone can forever change how you write emails, sales copy, direct mail…in fact anything you need to write so you get more leads and convert those leads to sales.
I figured it out the hard way – struggling for years making lots of mistakes in my copywriting. I don’t remember the exact moment this technique revealed itself to me…but I use it all the time now. Last week I shared the secret for the first time to a good friend…
We were sitting at an elite golf club here in South Florida. She was complaining how everything in her business was taking off beautifully….except for one thing… She HATED writing copy.
For her writing copy was like walking on a wet carpet with socks on. Continue reading Shhh! The REAL “Secret” to Writing Amazing Copy
Organization is the essence of writing. Does that surprise you?
Most people think writing is about using just the right words and tying them together will good transition words. No, that’s just word-smithing.
The most important thing is to organize your thoughts before you start. Create an outline to make sure that you have presented a thesis (a statement that makes the reader want to know more) and then answered the reader’s natural questions.
